Overview of the Course
The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is to prepare you to enter a specific sector and job role. All the units in this qualification will support you to gain employment as a junior beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. VTCT Level 3 Diploma will confirm your competence in the job role of beauty therapist.This qualification will prepare you for employment as a beauty therapist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a beauty therapist. Career opportunities as a beauty therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:
- Working in commercial beauty salons/spas/cruise liners
- Working in a retail concession in a department store
- Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings
Successfully completing this qualification in Level 3, you will have the opportunity to progress to the following VTCT qualifications:
- Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty
- Level 4 Diploma in Permanent Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation
- Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments
- Level 4 Award in Skin Blemish Removal
- Level 4 Award in Physiology for Advanced Beauty Therapy
