Overview of the Course
Working in pairs, students will learn to perfect the techniques of Indian Head Massage using the widely-used oil medium. Movements covered include effleurage and holistic holds. You will learn the benefits and contra-indications of this type of massage, client care, and record keeping.In order to gain the qualification, you will be required to successfully complete a number of practical assessments, which must be performed on paying clients (not fellow students) It is possible to complete all your practical assessment during the course, however, any remaining assessment can be done later in the school salon ‘client days’. There is also a short project, and a portfolio of evidence to compile. You will need to return to the school to sit a written paper after home study.
