What is IPL?

Intense pulsed light is an intense, visible, broad-spectrum light. Unlike traditional laser treatments, which have just one specific wavelength emitted from the diode, IPL has multiple wavelengths (all between 500 and 1,200 nanometres) that scatter within the skin. It works in the same way black clothing absorbs heat on a hot day, versus white clothing which reflects it.

Benefits of IPL

We use this light to heat and destroy pigmentation such as brown spots, melasma, and sun-spots. IPL Skin rejuvenation, also known as IPL Photo rejuvenation, can simultaneously treat a wide range of skin conditions be part of an anti-aging routine, remove broken capillaries, rosacea and well as helping with skin resurfacing. This treatment is extremely effective at fading both hereditary and sun-induced pigmentation of the skin. Unlike aggressive peels, lasers, or bleaching, IPL selectively targets darker-pigmented areas while leaving normal skin unaffected. After just a few treatments, even the most stubborn spots fade and disappear. Results in even skin colour and maintains facial volume for youthful, rejuvenated complexion.
